Hollywood star Will Ferrell took a pie to the face before heading on a pub crawl in Dublin this week.
The US star is in Ireland Dublin this week as a special guest on award-winning American sports show “The Dan Patrick Show” in the lead-up to the Notre Dame vs. Navy game on Saturday.
And the trip got messy, as the Anchorman actor was slapped in the face with a cream pie during the show, which was recorded live from Temple Bar with Keeper’s Heart American Whiskey this week.

The star took it like a champ before heading off on a pub crawl in the city that evening, which kicked off at Storehouse Bar, Temple Bar,
Presented by Keeper’s Heart Irish American Whiskey, The Dan Patrick Show has been covering the lead-up to the Notre Dame vs. Navy football game live in Dublin all week.
As part of the coverage host Dan Patrick and his team were joined by Ferrell to discuss the highly-anticipated Aer Lingus College Football Classic featuring the University of Notre Dame vs. the United States Naval Academy game at Aviva Stadium on Saturday, August 26th.
The last live recording took place on Friday in College Green.
Ferrell is no stranger to Ireland, and has been spotted out and about making the most of his visit this week.
The Barbie actor stopped in for dinner at Hellfire, a swanky new restaurant on Westmoreland Street, on Tuesday evening where he enjoyed a three-course meal.
In a snap that the restaurant posted on social media, the 56-year-old was pictured wearing a Swedish Football jacket as he posed next to the chef.
Staff at the steakhouse said they were 'delighted' to meet the Emmy Award-winning actor, adding that he was 'just as kind as you would expect'.
Taking to Instagram, the Hellfire restaurant wrote: "We were beyond delighted to have the brilliant actor Will Ferrell dine with us last night!! Thank you so much for joining us at Hellfire."
